IT Technician Visual/Audio

Performance & Responsibilities – The duties of the IT Specialist will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Install and maintain audio and video systems district wide
  • Assist district personnel with audio and video systems during sporting events, special programs and meetings
  • Install, configure and upgrade computer hardware, peripherals and software such as Chromebooks, mobile carts, and user and device management in G Suite and Active Directory
  • Ability to work occasional late hours in order to assist with AV systems at sporting events, plays and special events as needed
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain hardware, peripherals and software systems around the district as needed
  • Maintain strict confidentiality (e.g. passwords and other system security features) for the purpose of ensuring district network security
  • Perform other job related duties as assigned by the Technology Director

Special Knowledge/Skills:

  • Experience with video cameras, sound boards and mixers, and other misc. AV equipment
  • Preferred experience with video conferencing, and live web based broadcasting
  • Experience with installation and maintenance of computers, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment
  • Possess a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently in solving problems
  • Good communication skills – the applicant should be able to communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Be organized and able to maintain appropriate documentation in a variety of situations
  • Possess the ability to work well with staff and students
  • Maintain a large learning curve, building knowledge and skills as needed
  • Possess the ability to learn new operations, set priorities, and work well under pressure
  • Experience in troubleshooting basic computer hardware and peripherals
  • Knowledge of basic networking concepts, devices and security

  • Preferred:
    2-4 years of professional experience with IT and Audio Video systems

Physical/Mental Demands:
Some heavy lifting, bending, climbing with computer and sound equipment, standing for long periods of time
