Job Summary

TheCopywriter will develop, write, and edit messaging and copy for all ofDiversified Foodservice Supplies’ communication needs spanning both digital andtraditional media channels. This rolerequires creativity and great attention to detail. We are seeking a team player that crafts clear,accurate, and engaging copy – with a working knowledge of search engineoptimization as it relates to writing with keywords to improve organic searchrankings.

Essential JobFunctions

· Constructand write compelling stories and content for marketing communications across awide range of writing-styles and media channels while adhering to brandstandards and style guide

· Composecopy for digital and traditional marketing assets including email subjectlines, bodies and CTAs; website product pages and static pages; brochures; presentationdecks; catalogs, advertisements; etc.

· Managemultiple copy assignments simultaneously while coordinating with team memberson assignment requirements and schedules as needed

· Proofreadand edit copy to ensure it is accurate, clearly written, and reflects brand’svoice

· Ensuresall boilerplate and messaging are on-brand and relevant to the marketingstrategy

· Collaboratewith product vendors and legal when necessary to ensure copy and content isregulatory-compliant and abides to style guides

· Overseesmultiple feedback streams and exercises judgment in incorporating feedback

· LeverageSEO principles to maximize digital copy’s reach

· Identifyopportunities and make recommendations to improve search engine rankings basedon keyword ranking tool recommendations.

· Usestrategic keywords to optimize all web copy for SEO and onsite search


· Bachelor’sdegree or equivalent in English, Journalism, Communications or related field

· 3– 5 years of experience in copy writing or marketing communication role

· Experiencedeveloping concepts and copy for a wide range of marketing materials

· Breakdowncomplex information to be engaging and easy to follow

· Strongorganizational skills – able to prioritize and keep projects on schedule

· Exceptionalcommunication skills, both written and verbal

· Demonstrateinitiative and be proactive in seeking new opportunities and solutions

· Knowledgeof best practices and principles for keywords, SEO and onsite search

Must have a portfolio of work examples showcasing copy writing skills
